Gramaphone Children’s Debut

Gramaphone Children’s album “Ah-Huh, Ah-Huh” is an eclectic blend of 80′s pop culture, sound and playful tongue in cheek lyrics that attains a contemporary twist. Punchy bass lines and brass synths ornament his music that takes the listener into a world of electro-funk, synth pop, hip-hop and nu-disco.

His new-wave influences can be heard in Pictures of You while Pop-Pop-Popgives homage to the hip-hop breakdance and popping scene. Superfine could front as a tribute to Roger Troutman while Interstellar’s space-disco feel and catchy vocals, by Finnish / Swedish vocalist DEYDE (aka Linda Junell), keeps one’s feet tapping to the beat. Neon Love Light’s heavy synth layered lines brings us to the days when spandex-in-the-aerobics-room was trendy and chic, featuring Magana (aka Michael Sawatsewi) as lead vocals.

Two exclusive remixes by renowned Thai electro artist Cyndi Seui and Korean K-Pop producer Apolo conclude the album. Cyndi Seui’s signature 80′s guitar riffs , solos and energetic beats drives an aggressive, however melancholy atmosphere while Apolo’s laid-back, chilled-out, down-tempo mood perfectly ends the album in contrast to Gramaphone Children’s uptempo and high-energy beats and rhythms.
